Meet the educator behind the site

Welcome to my digital eco nook—a place where my lifelong connection with nature and my passion for education converge.
Since I was little, nature has been my constant companion. My childhood memories is splashed by river waters, tadpoles and long grass. The camping trips with my father shaped a long lasting love for the environment that now guides my journey as educator.

Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in Arts, my career started in Brazil as a primary teacher, specialised in literacy classes for children and adults, painting my canvas with diverse experiences.

However, the true turning point occurred on Australia’s shores, where I fully embraced early childhood education and saw my purpose crystallise. Inspired by the little ones, I decided to rolled up my sleeves to be the change I aspired to witness. Together we embarked on nature based explorations, enjoying the marvels of the natural world while tackling pressing environmental issues like plastic pollution head-on. This drive to combat plastic pollution led to the co-founding of Plastic Free Coogee,—a community group, challenging our notions of waste and plastic consumption.

Finally, this drive to connect people, young and old, with nature inspired the creation of Nurturing Nurture in children (NNC) with the purpose to share practical and positive experiences aimed at fostering reconnections with nature, ensuring that our collective efforts create a lasting impact.

With over 26 years of teaching and leadership experience, I advocate wholeheartedly for holistic learning, enabling all ages to foster positive connections, learn, and nurture our planet.
